TDS Meter (Total Dissolved Solids)
This remarkable little unit will give you an accurate reading on the level of contamination of your water. It does not test for bacteria.
To operate simple remove the protective cap, switch the unit on and immerse the tip of the unit in the water to be tested.
The LED display will show the total dissolved solids in the water tested measured in milligrams per litre, in other words the impurities of the water. As a guide tap water will generally show a reading of between 350 and 450. Tap water filtered with a jug type filter will generally show a reading of around 160 if the filter is fairly new.
Water filtered using our reverse osmosis unit will show a reading of between 10 and 20 almost pure H2o.
