WARNING: SkyTec light effects contain halogen lamps which in operation reach very high temperature, therefore the unit must be sited at least 0.5m away from inflammable and heat sensitive materials and where the metal housing cannot be touched.
MOUNTING Securely fix the light effect in required location with the bracket supplied and it is also recommended to use a secondary safety cable.
DO NOT obstruct ventilation holes to allow adequate air flow and regularly check that no dust or material is causing any obstruction.
DO NOT use in a damp or dusty environment
Halogen lamps become very hot during use. Never touch the lamp with bare fingers. Allow both disco light and lamp to cool before replacement. Replace with only same branded version, voltage and wattage.
US. Connect directly to a suitable AC outlet. The unit MUST BE EARTHED.
DO NOT use with a dimmer unit. Only use in a well ventilated indoor environment. Note: SkyTec Light Effects are not designed for continuous use and intermittent operation is recommended.
LAMP INSTALLATION & REPLACEMENT.
Disconnect unit from the AC supply. Unscrew the lamp access cover Unpack lamp taking care not to touch it with bare fingers ( remove any prints or any marks with alcohol and dry with a clean cloth) Take care that single based lamps are inserted straight and not tilted. Do not use force when inserting the lamp. When replacing a blown lamp, allow to cool as halogen lamps become EXTREMELY HOT. Replace with same brand type, voltage and wattage. Re-fit the lamp cover and plug unit into AC outlet.
TROUBLE SHOOTING.
Check the power supply socket.
Check the fuse of the unit
Inspect the lamp and replace if necessary
With sound activated models check position of the sensitivity control.
NEVER try to repair the unit. Refer to a qualified technician.
