250Gb 4 Channel Digital Colour Quad Mutliplexer Recorder
The ideal control centre for a small CCTV system, this 4 channel quad recorder replaces a multiplexer and ‘time-lapse’ VCR with one easy to use, maintenance free, high quality unit. (No audio connections). The recording time will vary depending on mode, quality, and recording rate (see table below), typically a 250Gb hard drive allows continuous normal quality recording for up to 17 days at 8 frame per second ‘time-lapse’ which is comparable to the quality of a traditional VCR system. Alternatively upto 48 hours at full frame rate DVD quality video can be recorded. When the available hard drive storage space is consumed, the unit can be set to automatically re-record over the beginning of the video.

Recording times
The recorder can record video at several frame rates and several compression settings. At the best quality (Digital Video) at 30 frames per second up to 50hours of video will fit on the 250Gb disk. By adjusting the quality setting to lowest quality and the frame rate to 1 frame per second this can be increased to 4218 hours - which is 5 months of continuous recording. The table below shows the duration of recording (in hours) that can be achieved at the various settings.
